Roosevelt Elementary School, Long Beach Unified School District. Budget: 50 Million. Hazmat abatement/removal, demolition of one of the largest and oldest elementary schools in the district and construction of a new elementary school, 100,000 sq. ft. structural steel braced frame, cold-formed metal stud framing, Plaster exterior finish and (3) elevators with innovative use of space, including a playground built above a ground-level parking garage and a multipurpose room with a stage and audio/visual alcove, to honor the “art deco” architecture of the original school and its historical neighborhood, new classroom buildings with (3) elevator structures that surrounds a central amphitheater and common area with shade trees and landscaping. La Paz Middle School. Saddleback Valley Unified School District. A masonry and steel truss gymnasium and MPR building, high and low lift grouting, installation of embeds, chord bars, jamb bars, pilasters, lintels and related CMU details. VIEW
Santa Barbara High School, La Colina & Goleta Valley Junior High School. Santa Barbara School District. Modernizations, structural and ADA upgrades. Projects include five new masonry elevator buildings and bridges, massive concrete / shotcrete retaining walls, structural renovation of a failing poured in place concrete wall, Performing Arts center renovation, and classroom upgrades. Civil work including removal & reconstruction of A.C. pavement, concrete curbs, gutters, access ramp, sidewalk, stripping, signage, storm drains & area drains to campus buildings, parking lots & activity fields. Further work included performing constructability review for various building projects.
